H. Wayne Huizenga

The H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship has an exchange program with the IESEG School of Management in France. Students from both institutions have an opportunity to pursue business focused classes taught in English while engaging in the cultural experiences of their host institution.

Huizenga College of Business students seeking to travel to France will have the opportunity to interact with an international collective of faculty and be able to engage with students from a variety of countries. Students will study at one of two locations: the metropolis of Lille which offers a vibrant cultural scene and is the gateway to north-western Europe and Paris, rich with history, fashion, and its own cultural hub. If interested in learning French, students may take advantage of the free French language lessons offered by IESEG.

IESEG students seeking to study at the Huizenga College of Business will learn from industry experts driven by innovation and creativity. As a student, you will be able to immerse yourself in the rich multicultural environment of South Florida. Students will find a variety of ways to engage across the campus while enjoying the beautiful Florida sun!

NSU Huizenga College of Business Students Seeking to Study in France

College of Business students can request to have their names submitted for participation in the exchange program to study at one of two locations in France (Paris and Lille) to complete equivalent business course work.

Program Nomination Form (PDF)

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria for consideration before being eligible to apply to the program:

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA required.
  • Good academic standing.
  • Must be in good standing with the Office of Student Development.
  • Students are not eligible if they have been reported for academic misconduct.
  • 30 Undergraduate Completed Credits at NSU.
  • Students must have at least 15 undergraduate degree applicable business credits outstanding to participate in the exchange.
  • Submit NSU Nomination form to HCBE Program Office
  • If nomination is approved by HCBE, submit application to IESEG

Candidates who meet the criteria above will consult with their academic advisor. Students meeting the initial criteria will have their names forwarded to NSU Huizenga College of Business' Office of Program Management for further review. A total of six students per each fall and winter semester may be selected to participate in this academic and cultural exchange. Students who receive approval for participation in the program will need to apply to one of the two IESEG campuses. Students may not apply to both campus locations.

IESEG Student Checklist from France to NSU

1. Petition home institution to participate in exchange program.

2. Obtain approval from home institution to study abroad 

a. If approval is granted proceed to step 3.

3. Submit non-degree application to exchange institution for consideration. Students will need to provide unofficial transcripts and English proficiency letter.

If denied, no further action is required. If accepted, proceed to step 4.

4. Submit request to NSU for course evaluations to determine which classes to seek registration. Students are only permitted to enroll in approved business classes. Requests are to be submitted to Sarah Vielot-Pierre at vsarah@nova.edu. 

Await determination on course evaluation before proceeding to step 5.

5. Seek to obtain Visa to study abroad

6. Connect with academic adviser to secure registration for business classes.

7. Secure housing. Refer to the fact sheet for specific deadlines.

8. Read Student Handbook prior to the start of the program. Student to sign and return acknowledgement form regarding Student Handbook.

9. Submit payment for fees via SharkLink account. Payment is due prior to the start of the semester. Payment options can be accessed by visiting the NSU Bursar website.

10. Upon course completion, have transcripts sent to IESEG so transfer of credit can be applied. Fees must be paid in full to have transcript released.
