Message from the Interim Dean
At the H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship (HCBE), faculty and staff members strive for excellence in all that we do. Our continued AACSB accreditation affirms the quality, rigor, and relevance of our academic programs, and places HCBE among the elite 6 percent of business schools globally that possess this accreditation. This distinction reflects our unwavering commitment to innovation and entrepreneurial thinking in teaching, impactful scholarship, and the preparation of forward-thinking business leaders.
As a cornerstone of Nova Southeastern University (NSU), HCBE plays a vital role in advancing NSU’s national reputation. The university’s recognition by the Carnegie Foundation as the nation’s only professions-focused, R1, community-engaged, opportunity university speaks to a powerful and unique mission—one that aligns with NSU’s and HCBE’s values. We are proud to be a driving force behind this distinction through applied research, experiential learning, and deep engagement with the communities we serve.
Our faculty bring real-world expertise into the classroom, our students gain hands-on experience through coursework and access to speakers and advisory board members that translates into meaningful careers, and our partnerships with industry and community organizations ensure that our impact extends far beyond campus.
The Huizenga College of Business stands at the intersection of academic excellence and real-world relevance. For example, our MBA program integrates artificial intelligence and data analytics across its curriculum to prepare students for data-driven leadership. Undergraduate and graduate majors and concentrations in healthcare management leverage NSU’s unique position of having three medical schools that foster academic collaboration across the colleges during a time of enormous change in healthcare delivery and management. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to empowering our students, strengthening our community connections, and transforming lives through education.

Master This Changing World and Fulfill Your Purpose

The world is changing more rapidly than ever and it’s not kind to those who settle for ordinary. Instead of chasing the paycheck, we say do it for the payoff. People, planet, then profit. That’s the triple bottom line. Do your best. Be your best. Because that’s how to be Best for Our World.™
Be an earth shaker. A risk taker. A barrier breaker. Be anything you want to be. As long as you become a Difference Maker.
Our Namesake Was A Difference Maker
H. Wayne Huizenga set success records in starting, acquiring, owning, and revolutionizing businesses like AutoNation, Blockbuster, Waste Management, and many more. He had ownership in all three major professional sports teams in Florida—the Dolphins, Marlins, and Panthers. But through it all, he lived his commitment to putting people and planet before profit. He made a difference in the way others defined wealth, success, and purpose.
Come to NSU Business to be like Wayne. Be a leader. An innovator. A good-hearted citizen who gives back to your greater community. Be whatever you want to be. But above all, like Wayne, be a Difference Maker.
