Dr. Arvind Gudi is a Professor of Decision Sciences in the Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems. He received a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications engineering.

His teaching interests include Management Information Systems, MIS Strategy and Policy, Data Analytics for Business Managers, Service Operations Management, and Business Statistics.

His research is focused on the challenges of knowledge management and knowledge integration in the field of emergency (disaster) management. He is currently working on a collaborative research project funded by the grant award for “NSU Quality of Life Faculty Community-based Applied Research."

Prior to academic research and teaching, he gained extensive industry experience in systems strategy and development and project management. He has held several professional and management positions with consulting and private companies with national and international focuses.

His research and consulting in public-sector organizations include NASA and Miami-Dade Emergency Operations Center.
Bringing insights from his management background, Dr. Gudi passionately demonstrates to his students the essential link between academic theory and practice in the real world.

He founded the Mindfulness Society at Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship, and serves as Faculty Coach and Advisor for the professional and personal development of all the members. He conducts seminars, workshops, and study groups that are open to students, faculty, and staff, and in some cases, open to their family members. Participants develop self-awareness, focus, concentration, perspective, mental agility, openness, and other qualities. These are the essential qualities to enable them to become leaders, corporate managers, entrepreneurs, and effective community members.
