An attorney by trade, Marissa Samuel has spent most of her career teaching.
After receiving her JD/MBA from Columbia University in 2005, Marissa began working
in Mergers & Acquisitions for the Miami office of McDermott Will & Emery. Soon after,
she resurrected her long-held passion for education and began teaching for NSU. (She
had worked as a tutor throughout high school and had absolutely loved it.)
At NSU, Marissa has led both undergraduate and graduate classes, spanning the fields
of law, ethics, and management. In addition, she is the founder of a boutique test
prep business that specializes in standardized tests for graduate school. She has
also worked with multiple startups in the tech ed space, both as an advisor and content
creator.
