Honor societies are prestigious organizations that recognize and celebrate student achievement. Membership in an honor society is a mark of distinction, and it can provide students with a number of benefits, including academic enrichment, professional development, and scholarship and fellowship opportunities. Honor societies can also provide students with a sense of community and belonging.
The H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship is home to two honor societies, each of which recognizes and rewards students for their outstanding achievements in a particular area of business. You can learn more about these honor societies and their membership requirements below.
Beta Gamma Sigma is the International Business Honor Society. Its mission is to encourage and honor academic achievement in the study of business, to cultivate and celebrate leadership and professional excellence, to advance the values of the Society and to serve its lifelong members.
Since 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma has recognized and honored top performing students from around the world in business schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). We are also a proud member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS). Through our dedication to providing lifetime value for our members, we work to bring programs, connections, benefits and opportunities to every individual in our organization.
To be considered for initiation into Beta Gamma Sigma, students must have all course work finished by the end of March with an overall GPA of 3.80 and be invited to commencement. Public Administration and Real Estate major students are not eligible for membership. Eligible students will be emailed more information regarding membership by the end of March.

Pi Alpha Alpha is the national honor society formed to recognize and promote excellence in the study and practice of public affairs and administration. The organization encourages and recognizes outstanding scholarship and accomplishment in public affairs and administration.
Membership in Pi Alpha Alpha is by invitation of the faculty. Each year students are notified by email if they are invited to join Pi Alpha Alpha. To be eligible, Public Administration students must have completed 30 credit hours in their program by the end of the March and maintain a GPA of 3.8. Those students invited to join may attend a special induction ceremony typically held the week prior to commencement.

Alpha Sigma Gamma was created in 1993 to recognize the academic and scholarly achievements
of real estate students, faculty, and professionals throughout the world. It is the
premier organization of its kind with over 1,300 lifetime members. Alpha Sigma Gamma
membership is by invitation of the faculty. Each year students are notified by email
if they are invited to join Alpha Sigma Gamma.
To be eligible, Real Estate students must have completed 90 credit hours in their undergraduate program or 21 credit hours in their graduate program by the end of the March and possess a GPA of 3.5. Those students invited to join may attend a special induction ceremony typically held the week prior to commencement.

Founded in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi is the premier international honor and service organization
for students enrolled in the accounting, finance, and business analytics majors. The
mission of Beta Alpha Psi is to inspire and support excellence by encouraging the
study and practice of accountancy, finance and areas related to business analytics.
Providing opportunities for service, professional development, interaction among members as well as financial professionals and fostering lifelong ethical, social, and public responsibilities. The Omicron Gamma chapter of Beta Alpha Psi is an active organization where, beyond scholarship, members participate in leadership, professional and service activities.
To be considered for candidacy towards membership in Beta Alpha Psi, undergraduate and graduate students must be a declared major in accounting, finance or business analytics, have a minimum GPA of 3.25 and complete the minimum activity criteria. Induction occurs once per academic year in the winter semester.
